About Snü

Snü is an air pollution mask hidden inside a scarf. The N99 filter protect the wearer from 99% of PM2.5 – especially tiny vehicle particulate matter.

It's specially designed to prevent polluted and contaminated air from reaching your nose and mouth, such as when cycling and commuting through a polluted city.

It's designed to look and feel nothing like the masks typically worn by cycle-commuters.

Snü started as an idea in 2018. Product development started in 2019. Crowdfunding happened in early 2020 and shortly after, the first Snüs were produced. Luckily, Snü is also perfect for virus protection.

Who is Snü?

Helle Abelvik

The founder of Snü, Helle is an environmental human rights researcher. Cycling in London sparked her desire for a fashionable, sustainable, subtle and comfortable anti-air pollution facemask. Her eureka moment came while she was studying for her PhD in environmental human rights and knitting a circular neckscarf to stay relaxed.
